BKV strikes back! (Day 2)

So it seemed to me that, as the public-transportation strike continues, BKV is becoming erratic even by BKV standards.

I almost froze to death waiting for a villamos. When one arrived, it had several thousand people aboard. The door wouldn’t close. It was a scene someone described as a „Frádi Match.”

On board, it is wall-to-wall people, which is great if you are a pickpocket or are in any way involved in the pickpocketing or used mobile phone industry.

Still, during the strike, no ticket inspectors are active, which is good. Are they on stike as well? Or just ashamed of such shoddy service? Because it seems to me BKV is the real winner here. I bought a bérlet and they have slashed my service. For every bus they don’t send, it’s a little extra bonus money for them. (They save money!)

Perhaps a little competition would be useful. A new transportation company for consumers to turn to when BKVs service is so irregular.

Think about it: How could a new company hurt? How could they do the job in a less effecient way? Would they be even less profitable? Would the busses be more graffitti-riddled? Dirtier?

I can only imagine service would improve.
